About ArteGanza Foundation

The ArteGanza Foundation is the organization behind Musica Mundo. Since 2007, the foundation has been led by people with diverse cultural backgrounds. ArteGanza believes in the power of world-class performing arts to connect people from different cultures. The organization presents theater concerts and the Musica Mundo Festival.

Thanks to a strong intercultural network, ArteGanza is aware of current trends and emerging artists. It regularly programs musicians who are later picked up by major venues; a springboard that sets ArteGanza apart from other organizations. It also encourages the cultural sector to program more non-Western art and shares knowledge and networks to this end.

A look back

In 2022, ArteGanza celebrated its 15th anniversary with a photo exhibition of past projects, including Freedom Dinners, Talent Scout, Window Stories, and the World Music Festival. Since 2018, ArteGanza has organized the annual Musica Mundo Festival, and since 2020, the Musica Mundo Series: a series of world music concerts at Theater De Lieve Vrouw, featuring workshops and talent development. The festival—one of the few world music festivals in the Netherlands—strengthens the cultural climate and reaches a wide audience with initiatives like the Musica Mundo Orchestra and the Parade through the city.

Our partners

Musica Mundo is growing in artists and partners and contributes to a diverse, inclusive musical offering. Its main partner is Theater De Lieve Vrouw, with whom ArteGanza shares the ambition to reach a culturally diverse audience with a high-quality program. In addition, ArteGanza collaborates with, among others, the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra, Broedplaats OostWest, Kosmik, Fluor, Duda Paiva Company, Het ViooLab Amersfoort, and City Marketing Amersfoort.
