our vision

Our vision

The ArteGanza Foundation initiates, develops, and programs cultural exchange between the Netherlands, other continents, and the European diaspora. Within Musica Mundo, ArteGanza showcases contemporary artists from around the world, particularly musicians whose imaginations evoke reflection and offer a transnational perspective. Their music breaks down barriers, touches emotions, and strengthens connections.

Musica Mundo presents renowned artists and emerging talent with potential. Through meeting places and unique projects, collaborations arise where local, national, and international artists explore and share new global fusions with audiences. Musica Mundo – Rhythms of the World makes all hearts beat to the rhythm of the world.

Our Mission

The mission of ArteGanza is to provide a stage and to act as a home for world cultures, art and creation. ArteGanza shows the power and beauty of cultural diversity. It brings world cultures and population groups together. ArteGanza has specialized in reaching residents of Amersfoort and the region with a culturally diverse background from all walks of life; with various activities it also has a national reach.

Our activities

The ArteGanza Foundation presents various activities under the title Musica Mundo – Rhythms of the World.

Musica Mundo Festival is an annual summer festival at the Lieve Vrouwekerkhof, featuring concerts by fifteen to twenty-five groups. It is unique in the central Netherlands and stands out as one of the few world music festivals nationwide. The program offers a rich mix of young talent and renowned artists, concerts, workshops, residencies, documentaries, and projects like the Musica Mundo Orchestra, the Parade, and the Musica Mundo Meeting. The festival fuses magical sounds from different continents into a new, contemporary sound.

The Musica Mundo Series offers concerts and workshops at Theater De Lieve Vrouw that enrich Amersfoort's cultural offerings. Four Lights Out Listening Sessions place per year.

Musica Mundo grows annually, involves more and more artists and partners, and contributes to talent development, connection, and cultural diversity.
