ArteGanza will publish a new book with stories and photos in 2024. The beauty of the difference between Roelof Meijer and photos by Peter Putters and many colleagues, among others, shows in images and words what ArteGanza has meant for cultural life in Amersfoort. It shows what connections have been made, including nationally and internationally, what statements have been made and what pleasure has been brought to the city and its residents. Original art forms
Varied and original art forms occur in every culture, but are not always structurally visible. ArteGanza – Connecting Cultures wants to show strength, beauty and diversity and bring population groups together through art and culture. The mission of ArteGanza – Connecting Cultures is to act as a home for world cultures, art and creation by offering a stage.
To put the philosophy into practice, ArteGanza has been committed to organizing cultural events from its home base in Amersfoort for more than fifteen years. Projects such as Crossed Gazes, Window Stories, World Statues, Nomads in Music, festivals and concerts have contributed to greater connection and increased awareness of art from world cultures.
Women Unlimited helped women to work together to tackle issues that are specifically important to women, and the Freedom Tour wanted to celebrate freedom in a cultural way based on the theme of diversity and inclusion. ArteGanza Talentscout aimed to give artists a stage. Frame Stories and Crossed Gazes were community art projects: based on the people/community themselves as protagonists. And so ArteGanza has been connecting cultures for more than fifteen years. Who says ArteGanza, says Hassan Elammouri. He is the driving force behind an initiative that has grown into a significant organization.
